Lanikai Beach Oahu Hawaii is a destination all unto itself.  It is not only described as “most beautiful” of all Oahu beaches, but Lanikai Beach ranks as one of the best beaches in the world.  Surrounded by endless miles of calm tranquil aqua blue waters, it’s hard to look at it these special windward ocean waters without getting an urge to jump right in.  You will be mesmerized the moment you walk down one of the several public beach access alleyways.

Kailua Beach

Kailua Beach Park ranks as the second most beautiful out of all the Oahu Beaches. Okay…it’s a little unfair to rank Kailua Beach as second best, because it is next door neighbor to the most beautiful spot on the island

Ko Olina

Beautiful Ko Olina Oahu was recently built up within the last decade or so.  This Best of Oahu Beach is located in the sunnier and drier part of Oahu on the western leeward side of the island.  Ko Olina’s main attraction are the four magical man-made beach coves called the Ko Olina Lagoons. These pristine crescent-shaped swimming holes are tucked away in the Marriott Ko Olina beachfront property. This is a “do not miss” when you visit Oahu.

Ala Moana Beach Park \ Magic Island

Ala Moana Beach Park is a playground that just about offers something for everyone, including a half mile beach strip stretch of white sand.  Compaired to many Oahu beaches, Ala Moana Hawaii offers acres of shady trees, picnic tables, and a wide expanse of grass to play around in the park, including tennis courts, a yacht club, 3 concession stands, and an additional half crescent beach called Magic Island.  And all of this is across the street from the famed open roof Ala Moana Mall.

Hanauma Bay Snorkeling

Hanauma Bay Hawaii is one of the most popular and most visited beaches outside of Waikiki and the North Shore beaches.  But it’s not so much about the beach as it is about the marine life nature preserve, and the amazing Hanauma Bay snorkeling experience!  With over 300 different Hawaiian fish species lurking about the shallow coral reefs, it is easy to see why this Oahu Beach holds its fame!

Waimea Bay

Waimea Bay Beach, North Shore, HI 96712

The towering North Shore waves start here in Waimea Bay.  The winter swells that roll into the famous Oahu North Shore beaches, generally top out at Waimea Beach Park , on the right hand side of the bay.  Surfing Waimea Bay, along with Sunset Beach and the Banzai Pipeline, is considered almost a pilgrimage among many pro-surgfers that fly in from all around the world to partake in the daring action.  The fun generally beins when the National Weather Service issues high surf warnings for the North Shore.  Waimea Beach Park is located just past Haleiwa Beach, and across from Waimea Falls Park.

Ehukai Beach Park on the North Shore Oahu

If you are on a quest to find the legendary Banzai Pipeline Hawaii, known around the world  for its perfect barelling waves, then head to Ehukai Beach Park on the North Shore Oahu.  Rated as one of the best Oahu beaches on the North Shore, surfing pipeline is an unique experience itself, and also ranks high as one of the top 100 things to do before you die!

 

Sunset Beach Oahu

Sunset Beach Oahu is another Best of Oahu highlight and a beautiful surfing mecca not to be missed after making your rounds at Waimea Bay and the Banzai Pipeline!  It’s a great Oahu Beach to watch big-wave surfers in action during the wintertime. Then come back in the summertime when the waves go flat, andSunset Beach State Park gives way to a new scene for some amazing snorkeling in Oahu.  But above all, visit Sunset Beach for its name and reputation…breathtaking which will easily rival some of the best sunsets in Hawaii!

Makapuu Beach

Makapuu Beach is a Hawaiian gem that sits below the Makapuu Point, located southeast of Oahu.  Most visitors venture out this direction to hike up to the Makapuu Lighthouse, but rarely stick around to enjoy one of this most spectaular Oahu beaches!

 

Waimanalo Bay

Waimanalo Bay Recreation Area is one place rarely visited by tourists, that has one of the Oahu Beaches  that will leave you in awe of the fact that you had no idea it existed in Oahu.  Waimanalo beach on a sunny day is jaw-dropping dead gorgeous, with turquoise blue waters and miles of some of the softest white sand your will toes will ever touch!

 

Sandy Beach Park

Sandy Beach Park is notoriously known for two things…powerful shorebreaks and the fine beach sand that gets into everything!  Sandy Beach is a beautiful isolated stretch of sand that lays just beyond the popular Halona Blowhole.  This Oahu beach has a magnificent scene that you arrive upon after driving along the lava rock cliffside of Koko Head Crater.
